Award Winning
The Systems Engineering programme at Loughborough was specifically designed in partnership with the then British Aerospace to equip the next generation of engineers with the knowledge and skills they will need to make a significant contribution to the development of complex systems. As BAE Systems, they are still deeply involved with the programme, its development and strategy and other companies, SELEX and FRAZER-Nash, have now joined to form a consortium of sponsoring stakeholders.
The programme is widely recognised as a model example of University-Industry teamwork, and in 1994 significantly contributed to the university winning one of the very first Queen's Anniversary Prizes for Higher Education.
